About

I’m Kevin Tuck and I’m an ISTQB certified software tester based in the south-west of the UK.

I’ve been testing software since 2011 when I became involved in testing smartphone applications and their compatibility with various Bluetooth devices. Since then, I’ve been able to expand my experience by being exposed to testing a variety of web, mobile and desktop applications. As well as working in teams that have used various development methodologies from agile, to waterfall.

I consider myself to be a lifelong learner. And consistently grown my testing skills over time both through professional exposure, and my own self-study.

In addition to being proficient in various testing techniques. One of my favourite types of testing is exploratory, in which I am able to utilise my experience as a tester and be creative with my testing as I move through the application.

Through the use of various online resources and my own project-based work over the years. I am a self-taught automation engineer and have created several frameworks for browser and API based testing using C#, Java, JavaScript and Python, (though Python is my favourite!)

When I’m not testing software. I enjoy reading, writing & running long distances for fun.
